Diepsloot; As the festive season is fast approaching, the police have put measures in place to ensure that people celebrate in a safe and secure environment.
According to Captain Mathebula Diepsloot SAPS spokesperson, “Visibility will be heightened in all the malls. Stop and search and roadblocks will be order of the day during this period, in order to clamp down on crime.
Night operations are in full swing to prevent the prevalence of house robberies and other serious crimes; as well as enforcement of Covid-19 regulations. The station commander, brigadier Koena Moichela and other senior officers are leading these operations.”
He further highlighted that the station has since received positive feedback from the community for increased visibility at night. Diepsloot SAPS would like to assure the community that during this festive season and beyond, the police will intensify visibility especially at night to ensure that people feel safe and secure.
Diepsloot police is further urging with the community to report all criminal activities on our Crime stop number 08600 10111 or send tip-offs on MySAPS app which is downloadable on any smartphone.
